Surgery

Everything went well for my surgery I ended up getting six incisions and a awful bad Collier bone pain ! the Collier bone pain is due to the gas, the doc pumped into my stomach before the surgery. I was laid up about a week and as of Christmas eve i am aloud to eat ! let me just tell you how great that was ! I'm suppose to eat small portions 6-8 times a day . It averages out to about every 2 hours. So now i graze.... yes like a cow !! And when I get together with Nikki we have a feed !! HA HA...Anyways things are good and I go back to the doc Feb 17 for a check up.. Thank you to every one who helped me weather it was with the kids or just checking to see if we needed anything. I really appreciate it .

Dusty underwear...

One evening a Husband, thinking he was being funny, said to his wife, 'Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in 'Slim Fast'. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your butt!' His wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn't let such a comment go unrewarded.
The next morning the husband took a pair of underwear out of his drawer. 'What the Hell is this?' he said to himself as a little 'dust' cloud appeared when he shook them out. 'April', he hollered into the bathroom, 'Why did you put Talcum Powder in my underwear?' She replied with a snicker. 'It's not talcum powder; it's 'Miracle Grow'!!!!!!

Christmas tree

We finally got our tree up, of course its artificial . I was wanting a real tree this year , but after talking to Nikki about this matter, she quickly informed me of all the hazards a real tree poses, thanks to her hubby being a firefighter and all , she not only is on a quest to keep her house safe she is trying to keep every ones house safe !! after assembling our new 7 1/2 ft tree. ( i needed a new one cuz i was duct taping the top of the other tree together ! ) and put the decorations on it i realized we have way to many decorations . I try to stick with a theme ( red and gold ) but with 3 kids who make things at school its very hard to theme. My tree looked like a pile of very organized Christmas ornaments just sitting in the corner .. So I talked to Nikki again ( i talk to her alot !) and with my ornament pile now posing a threat to burn my house down , she suggested another tree for the kids decorations and that's what i did ... we got another tree just for the kids to decorate with all their master pieces from school... so now I have two Christmas trees one themed my way and they other is themed the kids way !!! i will add pic's as soon as I go visit Nikki she knows how to do all that fancy stuff !! I think this season is becoming one of my favorites i love to decorate ,i love the colors and smells and the best part is the kids they are always very excited this time of year there truly is some kind of magic in the air !!!

Counting down the days...

There is 9 to be exact ! until my dreaded surgery. The surgery really isn't the problem.. the problem is my kids, i hate the idea of having to leave them for a few days, its very hard to know i have to rely on some one else to take care of them , and try to keep up with there very busy schedules that i have grown so accustom to. I know its just a few days but i don't like having to do this..And i feel guilty having to do it in the first place. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if i was in the same town, but that would be to easy ! No i have to spend time in Cleveland !! either way it has to be done and I have a good support system that don't mind picking up my slack for a few days..

Twilight

Thank you La Sha & Nikki for introducing this book series to me, I do believe they are the BEST books I have ever read. In the last week iIhave read more then I have in the last few months put together. I am so looking forward to reading more of Stephanie Myers books. The twilight series was so addicting that I read nonstop , I cooked dinner while reading, bathed and cleaned while reading, although cleaning didn't work out so well.. I just wanted to sit and read. Ron even told me a few times to stop reading, cuz I was so absorbed with the books I lost track of things going on around me. " the kids could be burning the house down and I would never know it " he said many times ! I highly recommend reading these books to everyone as long as you don't mind loosing your self or your house for that matter ! I cant wait to see the movie ..

Update on achalasia.

I went to meet with the doc's on Monday, they are all very nice and explained everything well.
the doc' wanted to confirm my diagnosis so I had to do some x~rays and drink this nasty berry stuff , while i was there i got the pleasure of being put to sleep twice ! i had a scope put down my throat and a HUGE tube as wide as a straw , shoved up my nose and down my esophagus. What fun that was ! And guess what i have Achalasia , who would have guessed ? For those of you who don't know what Achalasia is..here's the definition: an esophageal motility disorder: The smooth muscle layer of the esophagus loses normal peristalsis (muscular ability to move food down the esophagus), and the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) fails to relax properly in response to swallowing.[1]

So now I'm scheduled for surgery on Dec.17th. Not to excited about that, but what do you do. After the surgery I will have to stay in the hospital for 2 days. Also not to excited about that. So that's the gist of whats going on with me i will keep you updated periodically.

Are you scared ?

Last night we are doing our normal nightly routine.. Gabe's taking a bath , and I'm doing laundry ( washer & dryer are both in the bathroom ) Gabe looks at me smiles his goofy smile and says
" Mom do you know what I'm playing with ?" alittle startled to reply I said barbies ! he laughs and says " are you scared ?" You shouldn't be cuz your on scare taxes !!

La Sha....HAS A PROBLEM !!

I was talking to my sister and we have decided our friend La Sha has a BIG problem.

She will tell you of her addiction,
She knows she needs intervention, and it does interfere with her daily schedule.
Nikki has talked to La Sha about her problem ,we are trying to find a 12 step program..
A good program is hard to find.
La Sha does it while she is eating,
she'll do it while on the phone,
she'll do it while kids in the room,
even while holding Nikki's baby,
She will do it at her house...
Nikki's house..
If she had the opportunity she would do it at my house ...
And maybe even yours.
she's not really hurting herself
who are we to judge her ?
If La Sha wants to blog , we should just let her do it !

lip lickers ?

Gabe likes to lick his lip's until they are chapped , he now has a ring under his bottom lip, so I ask him " Gabe have you been licking your lips again ? " he looks at me as serious as he can be and replies " No mom , i don't lick my lips.. my friends do ! I tell them not to but they just walk up to me and lick my lips ! "

It's been awhile

I haven't posted anything in awhile, so here's an update on us ! Ron is on 2nd shift , he has been for two weeks and man its awful, the kids miss him terribly and it shows through their attitude,
crabbiness and unwilling to behave properly. Hopefully this wont last much longer cuz I'm going crazy ! Bailey is doing great in drama class, her performance is right before Christmas. Both
Girls has decided to do competition cheerleading. practices start in two weeks and competition is Nov. 23. Good luck girls. And then there's Gabe , he will be starting mini wrestling in November Im hoping that will help him learn to control his actions, as all of you know the boy ALWAYS wrestles ! And for me... I think Nikki is getting tired of me ! i call up to 12 times a day, and i pack up the kids and head to her house, or call her to go grocery shopping with me ! Im sorry Nikki Im really trying to not harass you ...With that being said, Ive been spending alot of time with my Dad eating dinner and just hanging out, so im not bothering Nikki so much !! If you think about it call me, help give Nikki & Dad a break !!

Where & who is Alicia ?

I had class tonight on child abuse from 6-9 p.m and suppose to do child abuse prevention on wed. from 6-9p.m when i get to class I'm told there is a schedule conflict. needless to say i had class until 8 p.m and got credit for 6 hrs.. when get home i check the messages , Jessica called so i call her back, and she proceeds to tell me that there is a girl named Alicia looking for her family , she believes we are that family. Alicia shares our grandmother Ruth, cousins, aunts and uncles.. although i don't know who she is.. Alicia thinks my cousin Micheal could be her father.. I'm not able to verify that. ( I 'm not aware the he has children ) So this got me thinking.. Could this be my Long lost sister ? Nikki and I did some research awhile ago and found out that we have a sister that was born between Nikki and Jessi whom was given up for adoption , she was conceived with another man ( not our father ) while my parents were married, Could we finally be getting closer to the truth ? So Alicia if you come across this PLEASE try to contact on of us, you could be my sister and we would love to find out !

Meet me in the Stairwell

I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me? I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor. Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me. But, I was there. I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me? Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. breakfast at school

Today Gabe had a Grandparents breakfast at school ,in honor of grandparents day . they were serving pancakes, sausage , milk and fresh fruit. Grandpa Ron took him Im sure they had a good time.. hopefully grandpa remember' s Gabe is allergic to eggs !

CDL....

Let me just start off by saying " I really Do LOVE my husband ! " so Tuesday i rescheduled class for Oct. 6th, so i could go to the CDL seminar with Ron. we get the kids to dad's house ( he's babysitting ) and head to best Western where the seminar is being held...drive into Sandusky and cant find the hotel, we sop at goodwill to ask for directions and the lady said " Go back towards wal~mart its with all those other hotels on the stretch of road way.. If you go past Danny Boys you've went to far " ... So i get back into the car, and i hear this ripping noise, you guessed it my jeans ripped , by the back pocket... keep in mind these jeans are 1 out of 2 of my FAVORITE jeans !! we turn around and head back toward wal~mart to find best Western, We still don't see it. By this time it's 7:00 the seminar started at 6:30. we then stop at a gas station to ask where best Western is.. We are then told " Honey Ive lived here all my life and there never has been a best western here.. you need to turn left at the light and head in Norwalk about 10 miles.. that's the closest one to us " I am NOT happy... I get back into the car , sit down and hear ripping. you guessed it my jeans ripped AGAIN, this time all the way down to my knee !! I am really not happy.. I asked Ron before we left " did you get directions " his response was " a friend told me where to go" At this point I'm thinking to myself " if you would have googled it we would be there by now, with out ripped jeans !" so we get to Norwalk find best western and Ron asked me to get out to ask about the seminar ( with my ripped jeans !) by this time its already 7:30 the seminar started at 6:30 ! if he wants to know he can get out and ask himself..there Is no seminar... I am ready to cry..Ron says" I guess we'll just go home.. looks at me smiles and says" Thank you for trying to go with me " My response was a simple... yup... You need to buy me new jeans ! I wanted to kick him !!! But I am the BEST WIFE EVER !!! i did not hurt him ! Do i get kudos for that ?

CDL SEMINAR

Okay, so Ron is suppose to go to a CDL seminar tonight. he keeps going back and forth on weather to actually go or stay home ..for those of you who are unaware Janesville isn't doing to well right now. So of COURSE Ron might need a new job. Just fricken go to the stupid seminar right ?? Oh no that would be to easy... ! So i get a babysitter , then i cancel , then i get a sitter again just to cancel, then comes another sitter. Ron tells me this morning " I don't think im going " this is the 3rd time I've canceled and called back a sitter. I'm not happy. then he says " I don't want to go sit by myself " Hello its for a new job !!! being the " BEST wife ever " I am skipping out on my class tonight , so i can hold my hubby's hand at HIS CDL seminar !!!!
